Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Reading a book always takes me away to a very magical place. Once I start the first chapter, I am lost in the book. My mind is no longer in this reality world that my body is in. It has drifted off to a far away land; a land where anything is possible. Over the summer, I read two books that I simply could not put down. They are both written by Emily Giffin. You have to read "Something Borrowed" before you can move on to "Something Blue" or else it won't make much sense. She has also written other novels, but these two are by far my favorite from her.

The first novel is called "Something Borrowed."

Summary:
"Rachel White and Darcy Rhone have been best friends since childhood. They've shared birthdays, the horrors of high school and even boyfriends, but while Darcy is the sort of woman who breezes through life getting what she wants when she wants it, Rachel has always played by the rules and watched her stunning best friend steal all the limelight. The one thing Rachel's always had over Darcy is the four-month age gap which meant she was first to being a teenager, first to drive, first to everything ...but now she's about to be first to thirty. And Darcy still has a charmed life. On the eve of her thirtieth birthday, Rachel is shocked to find herself questioning the status quo. Oh, did I tell you they are making it into a movie? It's coming out in 2011! Kate Hudson & John Kraskinki are the two people that will be in this movie.

You MUST go read the books so you can anticipate the movie like I am! I am ecstatic and I cannot wait for the movie to come out! Kate Hudson is one of my favorite actresses, so this is a definite must see for me. Besides, I adored the books and the characters!
